perks of being a journalist
when i woke up tuesday morning last week, I had no idea what i'd be preparing to do twenty-four hours later.
i mean, i knew that I would head out to the airport for norwegian championship in skydiving and wingsuit. and i hoped that i would interview some local skydivers. but i was aware that i wouldn't be allowed to follow them up in the plane.
but that was before i talked to championship speaker and skydiver, egil bye. he was like: "why don't you just skydive yourself? then you can follow the skydivers from beginning to end".
he caught me off guard, and i said something like: "ehm... i will have to discuss this with my editor".
it was quite an experience, and i'd like to thank skydive voss, and the pilot who was okay with me bringing a camera into the plane.
